Cool stuff its always awesome to see some behind the scenes. Looks like a good location for those types of shoots. Hows that Paul Buff octa?

Gotta love the behind the scenes, we should make it a requisite that all final shots be accompanied with these. :) Q: The little orange batteries powering your key- what are those? I'm always looking for something small and powerful w/short recycle times.

Yeah^ its a good way of learning/helping others improve on their set ups. And thats a Paul Buff vagabond 2. I Have one for my lights, it works pretty good. I accidentally over used it 2 times and had to send it back but they have awesome customer service and got it back a few days later. I think I got a newer one and have had no major problems with it.

thanks man.. yeah it was a great location in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.. lovee the Octabox, especially for on location stuff for the coverage it gets.. plus it's the collapsable one so it's easy to setup and throw on.. :D

Currently I'm using an Invatronix Explorer XT which is a monolight battery pack. Works pretty long hours and the recycle times aren't bad. Charges from empty to full in about an hour and weighs about 25 lbs. I'll check out this one too, thanks!

If you dont mind me asking do you live in Brooklyn? If I go to college up in Manhattan I was looking for a cheaper place to stay and was wondering what a studio apartment normally costs per month in Brooklyn. My cousin is actually a detective in Brooklyn, I was just thinking I might have a hook up with shooting permits for that area haha

haha I actually don't.. I'm originally from NY (Westchester County, 35 mins north of NYC) but now live in Philly..

and as far as permits go, pretty sure you just get one from the city of New York, so it should cover anywhere in the city..

Haha, nice! So THAT's Jabari, I've spoken with him a bunch on the phone but never in person. Cool man, I love that dude.

Nice site you got going there too, bro, love the music...makes me wanna get back and update my neglected-ass nicksaglimbeni.com site that I haven't touched in over a year...I haven't even put the T.I. pics up yet from 08, what is my problem?!

Haha yeahh.. he's spoken very highly of you and said you're one of the "most down to earth dudes for someone who's done and accomplished what you have".. and I told em from what I've seen and heard (you've worked with a lot models that I know or have shot with and all say great things as well) I agree with that statement..

Thanks bout the site, just redid the whole thing so I know what you're talkin bout.. before that most of it was over a year old as well.. something about sites for us photographers, it's always the last thing we ever update, which is weird since it really should be the first.. ;)
