Hi Guys
this is probably a really basic problem but its driving me nuts. I just started watching the "slickforce technique" video in level 2 where Nick explains the clone stamp technique fairly early in the movie....its the whole "command, click, drag" lesson to smoothen skin and preserve contures.
the big problem I am having is that, Nick is working on a new layer, which looks empty in the layers menu, as you can see in this screen shot: http://www.slickforce.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=213&stc=1&d=1299552041
however if I do the same thing and just create a new layer...the clone stamp technique wont work, because I am on an empty layer....what am I doing wrong ?
if i simply duplicate my active layer with all the image information on it (command+j) the cloning technique works, but my layer looks nothing like Nicks in the video where JUST the cloned skin is showing up on a transparent layer.
any help appreciated, thank you.
