These are pics I took of Surfside Beach, Texas which is about 45 miles south from Galveston/Houston. It was hit pretty hard by Hurricane Ike, and when I went back home, I was able to go check it out. This was about 2 months after Ike hit, so a lot of it was cleaned up and people were allowed to go back down there but there was still a lot of damage. These pics have all been manipulated in some way. The 4th and 5th pics are the same pic with different looks and crops.

I like the first set the best. The second set looks too heavy on the post work. Photos 1, 2, & 4 are fantastic. I love the wood texture on 1, and the desaturated finish works well with the overall motif. #2 is really cool because of the multicolored pastels, combined with the torn-up earth in the foreground. #4 has great composition...just watch the gradients on the corners and in the sky. They look a bit forced/artificial. Awesome work, your stuff gets better by the day.
