Any pics to practice on?

Hi all,

I was just wondering would any photographers here be so kind as to maybe let me work on some pics for practice purposes? I am new to retouching so would like some pics to work on. They would only be for practicing on at home and would never be posted anywhere.

I know there is also model mayhem and I do look there but they all seem to be just headshots for beauty rather than how do I say glamour lads mags type shots. Know what I mean?

Anyway hopefully someone can help me out.

Might have some full-length shots you can practice with, but I'm on vacation and not connected to my hard drive. Most photogs would lean away from letting hi-rez raw shots loose on the internet because of possible legalities that could possibly pop up later, but let me see what I can do. Post up a reminder or send me a PM in a week.

And mine's a Guiness for the effort.

Ah well there ya go! And Nick shoots with a Hassie so the rez on those images are like the size of your wall (much larger than mine btw).

Id try asking in the main area for the DVD ljxxx.

If I were to guess id say you don't have 'All Layers' selected for the sample from? You are probably sampling from the new layer which is blank hence you would not see any effect.

Just a wild guess.

Yeah, you must not have Sample All Layers checked on the top menu when you are on the Clone Tool. Otherwise it should work.

No just make sure you have sample from all layers selected.

Man, I really wish there was something to find wrong. Just try setting your clone stamp Mode to Normal, set 100% Opacity, 100% Flow, check the "Aligned" box, and select 'Sample Current & Below'. In the brush settings check your settings, check things like 'Other Dynamics' to see if it is set to 'Pen Pressure'. If you are using a mouse, turn that off. There are a lot of settings in there.
Run through every setting related to the Clone Stamp Tool. If that doesn't help, I would maybe try a Google search of the problem. There's Photoshop experts online that know how to find corrections to problems. Hope that helps!
